Listen to the talk of Monsieur Bon Ami Lapina French rabbit who finds himself dogged by the devil and far from home.
"It's an adventurous bedtime story for all ears, big and small, old and young," says Monsieur Lapin.
Narrated and illustrated on the piano by the author-composer who heard it first from Bon Ami himself.
The story unfolds in three parts:
PART ONE: In which a rabbit tries to find his way out of a predicament while pressed and pursued past all understanding.
PART TWO: In which Monsieur Lapin gets carried away in more than one direction, then finds himself taking advice from a tombstone.
PART THREE: In which Bon Ami begins to understand a few things and finally, under his own power, hops the long necessary distance.
PART FOUR: "The Bon Ami Hop", the theme of Monsieur Lapin's musical drama, which he likes to hum and hop toon occasion.
Also included with the CD is a small album of photos documenting certain aspects of our hero's adventure in France and Italy.
Monsieur Bon Ami Lapin currently resides on a wooded mountain in northern New England. He tutors the author in French, studies Italian, and collects carrot recipes.
